Stephen Lewis came to The Hour on October 14 to do his Dare to Remember: he sang in public with Arkells They rocked it, had fun, and raised funds to help women, orphans, grandmothers, and other people living with HIV and AIDS in Africa. So George decided to do a dare of his own...
...or rather do a dare of yours. Viewers of The Hour wrote in with a ton of ideas. Almost everyone dared him to wear anything but black, many dared him to wear a Toronto Maple Leafs jersey on air, and someone thought he should pairs skate with Kurt Browning. Well guess what? He's combining all three!
Watch episode 28 of The Hour (which aired on Monday, November 2) to see George skate with Kurt Browning while wearing a Leafs jersey... or to see him fall flat on his face.
Ngozi thinks that being a mother is the hardest thing a person can do. And being a single mother, even more so! So, to help the mothers and grandmothers of Africa whose jobs are made so much harder by the affects of the HIV/AIDS pandemic, she is going to spend a day in December helping out a single mother in Toronto - supporting her and walking in her shoes. She will volunteer to help out in any way she can: by cleaning, doing laundry, shopping and of course helping with childcare.

k-os returned to work a shift in the toy section of The Bay, where he held his first-ever job.
“My dare will take me back to my youth,” says k-os. “I like the fact that people can use their imagination and choose a dare that is relevant to them and then collect pledges to help raise funds for African communities. I hope that my dare inspires others to take action, as I am a firm believer that when united for a single cause we can all make a difference.”

Duff would like to dare Calgarians to donate and, if you’re willing, to join him on the “Journey through Calgary.”
“While in Africa, we learned first hand the daily plight of women who walk several hours each day for often-contaminated water for their families. Weighing upwards of 45lbs, grandmothers, mothers and even young children carry these water jugs on their heads. What better way to bring awareness to these extraordinary people doing extraordinary things than through the Dare to Remember Campaign!”

Amy (from CBC's Wild Roses and Sophie) and her dear friend and fellow actress Natalie Brown are working together on a double dare to confront their fears - of bees and baking! Amy likes bees, but is allergic to their sting. She recently took the brave decision to join Natalie on the rooftop of the Royal York Hotel to harvest honey from the hotel's on-site apiary (under supervision of the Toronto Beekeepers Association). Next, on October 19th, she and Amy will conquer their shared dread of the kitchen and spend a day preparing baked goods with the hotel's chefs... and then host a bake sale!

Next, on October 19th, she and Amy will conquer their dread of the kitchen and spend a day preparing baked goods with the hotel's chefs... and then host a bake sale!

Jack Layton, leader of Canada’s New Democrats, spent Saturday, October 24 doing two of his favorite things as his dare: playing guitar and hanging out on Toronto's Danforth Ave. Jack’s challenge was to busk in his riding, guitar in hand, at the corner of Danforth and Logan in his Toronto riding.
Jack was joined by family members and friends, as well as a few people from the neighbourhood who answered his call to come out and play along. Children danced along, and passers by made donations to benefit the Stephen Lewis Foundation and the grassroots organizations it supports who are working to turn the tide of AIDS in Africa.

Romina D'Ugo, actor and a member of the 2008 So You Think You Can Dance Canada Top 20, has dared herself to sing her way through an entire day. Whether ordering a coffee, buying a subway token, or arguing with her sister... everything she does will be done in song.
Jeff (co-star of Showcase's Testees) loves elephants, and he has always dreamed of working with them. A Dare to Remember offered Jeff the opportunity to make this dream a reality, and so he dared to work a shift with the elephants at the Toronto Zoo.
"Taking care of African Elephants is no small task," says Jeff, "but I've never been one to shy away from a challenge. Oh, who am I kidding, maybe this is a little less of a dare and more of an excuse to make a dream come true. I wasn't able to get too close to these amazing animals, but I was at least able to get very close to their not so amazing but very plentiful poo."
"For me, it was fairly extraordinary to help out with African elephants... A Dare to Remember is all about ordinary people doing extraordinary things."
